He was there, Hanging in pain, To save our lives, From the cruel games. He settled down, Then got back up, He now is sitting, In heaven above. He watches down, Over everything, Keeps his promise, For all to see. He was there, Hanging in pain, To save our lives, From the cruel games. Amber Would You Regret Him? Would You Regret Him? For He holds your life in the palms of His hands, Knowing the obstacles you are able to stand. If you would just believe and trust in the One above, He will open your eyes and show you His love. It’s not hard to give Him your fears, For He washes away all your fallen tears. Would you rather regret Him than see the reality That He loves everyone, including you and me. What would it take for you to pray out loud? Would it be a roar and a thunder from a high above cloud? To pray in front of your locker, is that such a sin? When would you be bold and want to begin? What would it take for you to just kneel down? Would it be a smile, a grin or an upside down frown? What kind of person are you to attempt such a thing, And what kind of outcome would those actions bring? Are you ashamed, embarrassed or just scared? Or have you forgotten what Jesus Christ bared? Are you afraid of what your friends might think? Would it cause your reputation to sink? It’s not real hard to say a thirty-second prayer, Unless you’re worried about those who stare. Just think of how much a short prayer could change, And how much of your life and friends it could rearrange. The question to answer, which is not hard to see, The question asked is, “Would you regret Him?” Poem by Krystle Just To Be Held My Him Just to be held by Him To feel His heart beating with mine Your embrace like chills down and up my spine But like warmth all around me Your presence like dew on my face I feel secure as I see your face Just to be held by Him, my Lord. By: Stephanie Finley 30 Second Kneel Down Each day I will go down on bended knee, for all my class and the world to see; that stronger than my fear of friend, is the message of love that to God I send. For He is life and counts much more, than those who mock, or me ignore; for they are empty and not fulfilled, and cannot find peace or a heart that is thrilled. So as I kneel each day to pray, I will to my Lord, these words say; 'Bless them Father, with loving sight, that through my praying, they will see your Light!' Guy Russell 30 Seconds to Life This is my destiny To fall down on my knees And pray God's will be done For me and other teens. I pray each day for courage To life up to the call Remembering that for me Jesus gave His all. My 30 second kneel down Just talking to my Lord Says much without a sound An speaks volumes without a word. My prayer is that my actions Provokes questions from my peers So I can openly share Jesus Without any worldly fears. Give me strength Jesus Keep me on my knees Let me stand in the gap Asking you to bless my teachers and my peers. by Darla Oswalt |
